As we are mostly attracted to convenience because of our busy schedules, coffee lovers will love the idea of a travel coffee maker as it is on the go and an inexpensive way to get a fresh cup of coffee. You can purchase one for the home, car, work, and even pack one for your trip or vacation.

Prices can range from less than twenty dollars to a few hundred. Of course there are a multitude of electrical coffee makers, but if you have to plug it in and an electrical source is not available, this may not be as convenient. Lets take a look at a few coffee maker designs (that doesn’t use electricity) for that on the go person.

Moka pot – Loved by many travelers, this pot goes well with a coffee grinder. These devices are very light to carry and there is no need to have a separate pot of water boiling.

French Press – This travel coffee maker is made very fragile as it is manufactured out of glass; however, you can get one made out of plastic or aluminum if needed. If you get the metallic style, you will be able to boil your water in it so there is no need for a separate pot of hot water.

Manual Drip Method – This device is placed on top of your cup with a paper filter for the placement of your coffee grounds. You pour hot water and let the coffee drip into your cup. Of course, you will need a separate pot of boiled water with this style of making coffee.

Handpresso – Just like the name suggests, this device is definitely for espresso lovers. Made just like a water pump, every shot that is produced requires you to press down on a lever (which typically requires some strength). You will need hot water and an ESE pod. There is no need to have the water boiling. This little device somewhat expensive, but well worth it if you enjoy a good delicious cup of espresso.

These are just a few of the travel coffee maker designs that do not require electricity, of course if you would to still like to purchase the electrical model, there are plenty to choose from online as well as any department store.
